Eight years ago we moved to West Grey Ontario. South of Owen Sound – in the countryside - two big bodies of water, lake Huron and Georgian Bay, an hour away on either side of us. When we came here we met the “raw milk guy”, the “Saugeen yoghurt family”, the “garlic couple” and we, fools that we are, were quickly labelled “The Funny Ones”. Which we will actually answer to. So call us someday.
Currently “The Funny Ones” projects include:
A feature film “The Hopeville Picture Show – Silent Musical”. True to the goodness of being part of a small-community, it can be seen upon request at Young’s Garden Restaurant at 118 Garafraxa St. N, Durham. And try the Cantonese Chow Mein – it’s excellent!
In 2013, Jenny won Toronto’s Best Magician People Choice Award Runner Up (fancy magic-talk for third). She has a 70 minute, family freindly show called “Doc Parsons Alchementalist” for hire – it’s a comedy – but it also has some excellent (award-winning) magic. Doc Parsons also makes a great host for your event or fund-raiser or holiday party. Check out: www.facebook.com/magicianjenny for details.
Steve can be found singing it up in the folk-funk duo “She Likes Fiction” when he isn’t baking beautiful bagels. Check out www.bagelsandboules.com for more information.
